Brett is currently a freelance contractor/project manager within the events industry and started playing Poker in 2008.He was first introduced to Poker from a mate who at the time was playing online and then found a couple of free poker league games being held in his neighbourhood which at the time was South Melbourne. After befriending a few like-minded poker enthusiasts at The Local and The Beach Hotels his game continued to develop and it was here he caught the poker bug.
Brett lists winning the Tournament of Champions satellite into the APL Main event, running deep in the JHDSS7 Mega Stack event 15th for his first cash at a Crown Tournament ($560) and beating out over 31,500 people in a small-buy-in tournament on PokerStars placing 184th for $500 as some of his current highlights in his fledgling poker career.
He definitely considers himself to be tournament player but enjoys a good cash ring game as much as the next poker player.
Brett currently prefers live games to online as he says you can’t beat the atmosphere at a good live table whether ring or tournament. Even so, Brett is building his online skills and is currently multi-tabling 6 tables with a view to playing 12 within the next 3 months.
Some of Brett's goals are to make a final table at a major event here or overseas and making it to the WSOP at least once in his lifetime. He’d also like to become a good enough player to play more live at higher stakes and build a bankroll to allow him to chase these poker dreams in the future.
